Summer in Onuma is refreshing and pleasant, with refreshing breezes blowing from the lake, making it the perfect season for activities such as canoeing, cycling, and island hopping.

Onuma Lake Festival

The Onuma Lake Festival takes place in late July, featuring lanterns floating on the water and a spectacular fireworks display that attracts huge crowds.

The most beautiful part of autumn is the changing of the leaves. The trees begin to turn red and yellow creating rich colors. Bird watching is also recommended in this season.

In October, you can take a sightseeing boat to see the illuminated leaves and enjoy the unique autumn scenery in a magical atmosphere.

In the winter, the lake freezes over and transforms the entire area into a stunning silver wonderland. Popular winter activities such as smelt fishing and snowmobiling make the park even more alluring.
